Version 9.4 of Maciel Prenatal Interpreter is now shipping. New features for this version include:

  • The Morris age risk formula (Morris et al., Revised estimates of the maternal age specific live birth prevalence of Down’s syndrome, J Med Screen 2002;9:2–6) is now supported.
  • LIMS output now has a new version 9 format, better matching the version 9 import format. This format is easier to interface to modern LISes.
  • Smith-Lemli-Optiz Syndrome (SLOS) risks are now available in LIMS output.
  • You can now save reports to PDF from the Physician Sample Report Preview window.
  • Improved the Reported tab in the Patients window: now the reported blurb codes are hot-linked to the Blurbs window, and the physicians are listed by their lookup code instead of ID and are hot-linked to the Physicians window.
  • Overhauled the Edit Users dialog, for more conventional operation.
  • Archive files can have descriptive names.
  • Internal changes to better support multiple users on the same computer when the database location changes, and when different versions of MPI are run.

And issues fixed include:

  • Removed tabs from the clipboard when copying the text from Physician Sample Reports, so they would paste better into LISes.
  • Physician Sample Reports for amniotic fluid samples weren’t using the tailored units.
  • Median MoM reports were created for the reverse of the substance selected, for hCG and uE3.

This version is recommended for users who need the new features, and particularly for those implementing new LIS interfaces. Contact RMA if you have not already received an upgrade CD and would like one.
